This is an invitation to come and play with us at the beach!
We are gathering people who love CI, community and the ocean!
Let’s enjoy dancing the summer together!
Near the ocean hearing the waves, we can dive into nature fully, communicating through our skin we meet the place with all of our body. We can be in contact with each other and our surroundings, dancing its landscapes as we touch. Discovering the invitations of the place and playing with all its possibilities.

Learning from its elements, opening into the magic of experience, the power of letting go, softening, refining our quality of movement and taking it to another level.
Inside, listening, we integrate what we discovered in nature. Using the studio and its focus to unravel the fascinating technical aspects of CI. Enjoying the simplicity and clarity of an indoor space to create our dances and understand movement.
At this gathering we are interested in how our dance unfolds as we share time and dance in nature, in contact with each other and the elements: water, wind, sand and sun.
We are looking very much forward to dancing with you at the beach!

If the weather is challenging: Aquatic Contact with Elske &, Daniel in the Spa (bring nose clips and goggles!)
We will be spending lot’s of time at the incredible spacious and beautifully white beach of St. Peter Ording (Nordstrand). We will live and dance, play and eat, rest and talk here.
We will dance with and in nature and we will dance inside the studio. There will be CI Outdoor Classes, space for labbing (e.g. about jumping-falling), indoor and outdoor jamming and lots of time to do nothing.
We will have sharing groups to be in contact beyond the dance and support the idea of merging life and dance together.
We will stay at Campingplatz Biehl (www.campingplatz-biehl.de, 04863-96010) which is located right at the most beautiful beach (Nordstrand). We highly recommend making your reservation ahead of time! The Camp Site is easily booked out during summer.
There are many other Camp Sites and accommodation possibilities available if needed.
You will be responsible for your own food. We will support the organization of cooking groups for the evening to share meals together. The Camp Site has a kitchen we are welcome to use and we will provide pots &, pans. Don’t forget your own cup &, plate and everything you need to take care of your food and be comfortable. (Last year we were meeting on the big lawn to share breakfast.Lunch time we spent at the beach).
For our dancing and playing adventures it is fun to bring nose clips and ear plugs. Moreover shade &, wind structures might be useful. Bring sunscreen lotion and long sleeve shirts. Bring a soft scarf to cover your face and protect your eyes from the sand for Elske’s Outdoor CI Class and maybe your own exploration.

About us:
Elske Seidel, based in Berlin, is a passionate CI dancer &, teacher, deeply committed to CI and its community internationally. She has been teaching dance full time and wholeheartedly for almost two decades, CI since 2004. In her teaching she is interested in ‘opening spaces where dance in all its magic and play can happen’.
She likes to create CI projects that bring the studio focus outside into nature and into the experience. She enjoys gathering community merging life and dance together. She has taught CI in Europe, Canada, the U.S., Argentina, Israel, Russia and Japan.
Some of her projects are: Annual Contact Festival Fuerteventura, CI Training Program Hamburg, Contact Saturday Berlin, Berlin Weekend Jam, dance your questions: CI Research Week / Ponderosa and North Sea CI Camp.

Daphne Leinweber has been a movement lover all her life! She is dancing CI since 2004, studying with numerous teachers. She likes to organize CI jams &, workshops and has been teaching CI since 2008.
Furthermore she is a doctor and dance therapist working in the hospital (psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy) as well as freelance.

Gabriele Neumann
is a physiotherapist, and a certified teacher for Qigong and Tai Chi in the line of Master Mantak Chia, and teaches professionally since 2004. She is dancing Contact Improvisation since 1997.

Daniel Werner studied Dance, Contact Improvisation, Body-Mind Centering and other Somatic Methods and Practises with various teachers, and works internationally in this field since ´97 as a dancer, teacher and director. He graduated in contemporary dance at the North Karelia College in Finland. Furthermore he is a teacher for Qigong and Tai Chi in the line of Master Mantak Chia.

Kommt und tanzt mit uns! Das Nordsee-CI-Camp versammelt
tanzbegeisterte Menschen, die Contact Improvisation, Gemeinschaft und
das Meer lieben … genau wie wir!
Wir möchten einen Raum öffnen, in dem Tanz und Leben sich verbinden kann. Wir werden im Studio und in der Natur tanzen. Es gibt CI Klassen, Zeit zum labben, Morgeneinstimmungen (Yoga und Tai Chi) und Jams am Abend.
Im Übrigen gibt´s viel Zeit für Baden, Surfen, Tanzen
… zusammen den Sommer genießen.
Uns interessiert sehr wie unser Tanzen sich im gemeinsamen Draußen-Sein entwickelt, im Contact mit den Elementen Wasser und Wind, Sonne und Sand.

Bei schlechtem Wetter: Aquatic Contact mit Elske &, Daniel in der Therme (bringt Nasenklemme und Schwimmbrille!)
Das Camp wird wesentlich am schönen weißen Sandstrand von St.-Peter-Ording stattfinden. Dort werden wir unser Lager aufschlagen: Zeit und Raum haben zum Contact tanzen, baden, Volleyball spielen, essen, im Sand liegen, am contact dance forschen in Sand und Wasser.
Gemeinsam sein.
Zentraler Treffpunkt wird am oberen Nordstrand sein.
Outdoor, d.h. unser Tanz wird genährt durch den unmittelbaren Kontakt mit den Elementen. Im Sand, im Spiel mit den Wellen entsteht eine ungewohnte Tanzqualität und anderes wird möglich. Da sind dann wundervolle Perspektiven zu genießen wie z.B. „Leuchtturm kopfüber“. So lassen wir neue Ausblicke und Einblicke auftauchen.
Es wird Zeit zum ausprobieren und labben geben (z.B. zum Thema: „jumping, falling &, catching“).
Um über den Tanz hinaus in gutem Kontakt zu sein, gibt’s die Möglichkeit zum täglichen Austausch im Gespräch in Kleingruppen (Sharing-Gruppen).
Wir werden möglichst auf dem Campingplatz Biehl (www.campingplatz-biehl.de, 04863-96010) zelten, der direkt am Nordstrand liegt. Um eine Reservierung (dringend empfehlenswert, da der Platz im Sommer leicht ausgebucht ist!) muss sich jede/r individuell kümmern. Alternativ gibt’s in St. Peter diverse andere Campingplätze und Unterbringungsmöglichkeiten.
Bzgl. Essen ist grundsätzlich Selbstverpflegung angesagt. Wir unterstützen die Organisation von Kochgruppen für ein gemeinsames warmes Essen am Abend (wir können die Küche des Campingplatzes nutzen und bringen große Töpfe etc mit). Denk an eigenen Teller, Becher, Geschirrtuch und alles was Du brauchst, um Dich wohlzufühlen und zu versorgen. (Letztes Jahr haben wir uns auf der Wiese zum gemeinsamen Frühstück getroffen. Mittags waren wir am Strand).
Denk neben Ohrstöpseln und Nasenklemmen, für das Bewegen im Wasser, auch an ausreichenden Sonnen- und Windschutz wie Sonnenschirm, Strandmuschel u.ä.

Über uns:
Elske Seidel (Berlin) ist eine global vernetzte und international engagierte Contact Lehrerin, Tänzerin und Bewegungsforscherin. Sie unterrichtet seit fast zwei Jahrzehnten kontinuierlich und von ganzem Herzen Tanz, Contact seit 2004.
Für Elske bedeutet Contact Improvisation zu unterrichten, „den Boden dafür zu legen, dass dieser Tanz geschehen kann.“
Sie kreiert mit Vorliebe Projekte, die Contact &, Natur und Leben &, Tanz verbinden (Contact Festival Fuerteventura, Nordsee CI Camp St. Peter Ording). Des Weiteren liebt sie Forschung &, Jammen und öffnet dafür den Raum in folgenden Projekten: Berlin Weekend Jam, dance your questions: CI Research Week/ Ponderosa und den Contact Samstage Berlin.

Daphne Leinweber, zeitlebens bewegungsbegeistert! tanzt CI seit 2004 bei verschiedensten Lehrern. Organisation von CI-Jams und Tanz-WS u.a. CI-Nordsee-Camp. Lehrt CI seit 2008. Als Ärztin und Tanztherapeutin i.A. im klinischen Bereich Psychosomatik und Psychotherapie sowie freiberuflich tätig.

Gabriele Neumann
ist Physiotherapeutin, und ausgebildet als Lehrerin für Qigong und Tai Chi nach Meister Mantak Chia, und unterrichtet hauptberuflich seit 2004. Sie tanzt CI seit 1997.

Daniel Werner
studierte Zeitgenössischen Tanz am North Karelia College in Finnland und arbeitet international als Tänzer und Tanzpädagoge. Wesentliche Einflüsse für seine Tätigkeit kommen aus dem Body-Mind Centering, Release-Techniken und asiatischen Bewegungs-künsten.
